HAPPY NEW YEAR! Since this is the first newsletter we have had the opportunity to send since our Christmas break and beyond, we hope that you and your family had a joyous Christmas and that you have a blessed and happy new year. We, as a staff and faculty, are so excited about what the Lord has already done for Mountain View Christian School and what He is going to do in this New Year. Please keep us in your prayers as we endeavor to follow the leading of the Lord in every area of this ministry He has placed us in during these unprecedented times.
REPORT CARDS DISTRIBUTED – FEBRUARY 8, 2021
YEARBOOKS: We have some extra copies of the 2019-2020 Mountain View yearbooks available. The cost is $25 each. If you are interested in one, please call the office..
SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PROJECTS: We would like to make you aware of some of the projects that our classes did during the Christmas season.
*The entire school brought in items for the Canned Food Drive and Homeless Shelter.
*Student Council and National Honor Society donated Christmas gifts to needy children..
*The National Honor Society paid for a Thanksgiving meal for a family in need.
*First Grade did various chores at home to bring in $70.00 to send to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
*Third Grade brought in blankets and fuzzy socks for the Ansted Nursing Home.
We are so very proud of our students’ participation in these special projects.
STEM DAY: We are excited to announce that the last school day of each month the elementary classes will be participating in a special stem project in class. Previously this school year, some of the projects enjoyed in class were as follows:
Candy Cane Stem Experiment/Building a Catapult/An Air Pressure Project/Cloud in a Bottle/Building a Lever/Multiplication Hospital Project/Making a Super Flyer
The students have enjoyed working on these projects and are looking forward to the exciting projects to come.
