RE-ENROLLMENT: Please be reminded that your completed packet, along with the enrollment fee of $100.00, should be returned to MVCS by Tuesday, April 11, 2022. After that date new student enrollment begins, and some classes may be filled.

BUNNY KISSES will be delivered on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

EASTER BREAK – APRIL 15-18, 2022 – SCHOOL WILL RESUME ON APRIL 19, 2022.

TERRA NOVA STANDARDIZED TESTING – APRIL 25-29. During this week parents should prepare their children by making sure they have plenty of rest and a nourishing breakfast.

BREAKFAST DURING TERRA NOVA TESTING: The Prom Committee will be providing breakfast during this week, for a fee, to all students. Look for a menu of available items soon.

CELEBRATE THE END OF TESTING WITH A MOVIE ON APRIL 29: This is a fundraiser sponsored by the National Honor Society. For a fee of $5, elementary and secondary students will receive a drink, popcorn, and a piece of candy. You will receive more information in the near future.

WEST VIRGINIA HOPE SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP: The West Virginia Families United for Education (WVFUE) will hold a workshop for parents interested in the Hope Scholarship to assist with any questions you may have. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Holiday Lodge Hotel and Conference Center, 340 West Oyler Avenue, Oak Hill, WV. If you wish to attend, please register at 304-237-5292. There must be at least 10 people interested in order for them to hold the Workshop. You can also access online at 222.WVFUE.ORG.

WACKY BASKETBALL FUN AND FUNDRAISER: Wacky Basketball will return this year on Wednesday, April 20th at 1 p.m. in the gym. Proceeds will go to the School Improvement Fund. There will be two games: Grades 3-6 will play the first game; Grades 7-12 will play the second game. The concession stand will be open. Each item will be sold from 50 cents to $1. The games will be open to the public. Parents and others are invited to attend.

Admission is free. Donations will be accepted and welcomed. A jar will be placed at the entrance for those who wish to donate. Students and the public will be able to pay money for officials to change some rules temporarily to benefit one team or player or to interfere with another team or player, all in good fun and successful fundraising!

The games will be timed.

Below is a list of possible requests and the cost of each request. Be sure to bring your money so you can affect the game or some players in the game. You may pay the money even if you are playing in the game.

YOU CAN HELP LEAD YOUR FAVORITE TEAM TO VICTORY!

$1 – Rent a pompom and cheer for your favorite team

$2 – After the game, throw a pie in the losing players’ faces/Buy up to 15 points, $2 each point

$3 – Double a player’s foul shot/Make a player use one hand for 30 seconds/Take a point away from a team

$5 – Blindfold the referee for 30 seconds/Remove a player for 30 seconds/Stop the clock for 30 seconds/Swap a player from each team for 30 seconds

$10 – Allow your full team to play for 1 minute/Choose one player from each team for a 1-minute one-on-one match

$15 – Buyers’ Choice! You decide! (With approval from referee)
