HAPPY NEW YEAR! Since this is the first newsletter we have had the opportunity to send since our Christmas break, we hope you and your family had a joyous Christmas and that you have a blessed and happy New Year! We, as a staff and faculty, are so excited about what the Lord has already done for Mountain View Christian School and what He is going to do in this new year. Please keep us in your prayers as we endeavor to follow the leading of the Lord in every area of this ministry He has placed us in.

NO SCHOOL – MONDAY, JANUARY 15TH – MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY

REPORT CARDS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 17, 2018, DUE TO THE INCLEMENT WEATHER.

SCHOOL CLOSINGS AND DELAYS:  Please be advised to watch TV (especially Fox 59 and WVVA) or listen to the radio concerning the school closings or 2 hour delays.  If Mountain View will be closed or have a delay our school will be listed.

In case of an early dismissal someone from the school will be contacting you as early as possible to make you aware of the situation.

CORRECTION TO PREVIOUS PRE-SCHOOL 2 HOUR DELAY:  If Mountain View is on a 2-hour delay, the pre-school hours of operation are as follows: 

Pre-School 3 Year Olds:  10:30 – 12 noon  

Pre-School 4 Year Olds: 10:30 – 2:15

FROSTY FRIDAY – SPONSORED BY THE PROM COMMITTEE – The frostys are $2 each. The order form, along with the amount due, must be returned to the school by Tuesday, January 16th. The frostys will be picked up from Wendy’s in Oak Hill and delivered to students who have placed their order during all lunch times on Friday, January 19th.

BOOKMOBILE INFORMATION:  The Bookmobile has not been able to come on scheduled days because of holidays and the weather.  We have spoken with the library, and they have stated that due to this situation, the books will not receive an overdue charge.  If you have received a letter from the library concerning this, please disregard it.

FEBRUARY LUNCH MENUS:  The menus are being sent home today, Friday, January 12th. Menus must be returned to the school by Wednesday, January 17th, along with the amount due attached, so that the food order can be placed.

MVCS ATHLETIC PROGRAM:  We invite and encourage you to come out and support our teams.  We will list the game schedules in the newsletter; however, due to inclement weather schedules may have to be changed.
