COME ONE! COME ALL!

TO THE 2019 ATHLETIC FUNDRAISER BASKETBALL GAME!

Tonight:  Friday, March 15th at 6 p.m. in the Mountain View Gymnasium

Cost:  $5 Adults/MVCS Students and Children 5 years and under:  Free

The Elementary team will be competing against the MVCS Mom’s Team,

and the Boys Varsity will be competing against the MVCS Dad’s Team.  It

will be a fun time for all!

Door prizes will be given out, and we will have great food in the concession stand!  Along with the normal goodies, concessions will be selling fresh popped popcorn, funnel cakes, pizza, pepperoni rolls, and Chick Fil A.

We need everyone’s participation and attendance so that we can make this a huge success for the MVCS Athletic Department.

REPORT CARDS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES – THURSDAY, MARCH 28TH FROM 4:15-7 P.M. – You may begin calling the office to schedule your appointment next week. You may call from Thursday, March 21st until noon on Thursday, March 28th.

EASTER BREAK – APRIL 19-23  –  SCHOOL RESUMES ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24  (Please note that one extra day was added to the students’ Easter Break.

APRIL LUNCH MENUS – The menu is being sent home today, Friday, March 15. They are due back at school, with the total amount due attached, by Wednesday, March 20.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR FEBRUARY BOX TOPS WINNERS! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  We have an opportunity for the coming year concerning our MVCS Yearbook! We are looking for a parent to volunteer to put together our MVCS Yearbook from start to finish.  It is helpful to have some computer knowledge because a large majority of the word is done on the computer.  There will be training available. Please contact the office if you would be interested in this opportunity.

ARCHERY NEWS FROM COACH MELISSA GILKERSON

SHADY SPRINGS TOURNAMENT HELD ON SATURDAY, MARCH 9

Elementary:  High boy shooter was Peyton Bush with 205 and 3 10’s

High girl shooter was Jasper Massey with 202 and 6 10’s

Middle School:  High boy shooter was J. D. Mauritz with 258 and 8 10’s

High girl shooter was Nichole Gilkerson with 254 and 10 10’s

We did not place, but these were great scores and accomplishments for our MVCS archers! Congratulations on a job well done!

This weekend, Saturday, March 16th is the Herbert Hoover Tournament at Elk View Middle School:  4 p.m. for Elementary and Middle School and 5 p.m. for High school and the remaining middle schoolers.
