We will dismiss at noon in order for you to be able to distribute the cookie dough/coffee orders that your child sold. NO AFTERNOON EXTENDED CARE WILL BE AVAILABLE.

FALL FESTIVAL 2019
Much appreciation to the parents, teachers, friends, family, and staff for making this year’s event such a success. The donations of crafts, baked goods, food, monetary contributions, etc., that came from parents, grandparents, and area businesses were a great blessing!
SPECIAL THANKS TO MRS. PENNINGTON FOR ACTING AS CHAIRPERSON FOR THIS EVENT. Her offering of time, effort, and talent was invaluable. Also, thanks to the teachers who sponsor clubs and organizations within the school. Our secondary students did a wonderful job in helping with the festival from beginning to end!

PIE SALE SPONSORED BY THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY – Forms were sent home on Monday, October 28th, for you to place your order. The cost is $2.00 per slice. Pie flavors available will be Peanut Butter, Apple, Pumpkin, Blueberry Cobbler, Coconut Cream, Chocolate and Unicorn (Vanilla). Pies will be available during all lunch periods. The deadline to place your order has been extended to no later than Monday morning, November 4th. Please send the form, along with the amount due attached, by this date.

WEATHER AND/OR UNFORESEEN EMERGENCY REMINDER: In case of inclement weather and/or unforeseen emergencies, you would receive a text message from our communication system. You could also listen to the following radio and/or TV stations to receive information. Please make sure we have your up-to-date telephone numbers in case we would need to contact you during the school day.

If there would be a problem concerning ONLY Mountain View Christian School (such as water problems, no heat, etc.) YOU WILL RECEIVE A TEXT MESSAGE FROM THE SCHOOL.
PRESCHOOL 2 HOUR DELAY REMINDER – If Mountain View has a 2-hour delay, the three year olds, who are half day students, will have class from 10:30 – 12:00 p.m. instead of the regular 8:30 – 12:00 p.m. schedule. FULL DAY K-4 STUDENTS WILL HAVE CLASS BEGINNING AT 10:30 A.M. AND ENDING AT 2:30 P.M. AS USUAL.
REMINDER CONCERNING HOT LUNCHES – In the event of a 2-hour delay, please remember that no hot lunches will be served on this day. Please pack your child’s lunch. Snacks and milk will still be available.
THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON – PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING THE ITEMS TO SCHOOL THAT YOUR CHILD’S CLASS WAS SUPPOSED TO PROVIDE FOR OUR THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON. SEE THE ITEMS ON THE PREVIOUS NEWSLETTER.
THANKSGIVING BREAK – We will have school a full day on Monday, November 25th, and a noon dismissal on Tuesday, November 26. Our Thanksgiving break will begin on Wednesday, November 27th. School will resume on Monday, December 2nd.
