All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. -Isaiah 54:13

DISMISSAL CHANGE – This change will begin on Monday, November 29th.

All students will be dismissed from the upper parking lot. Students in each family will be assigned a number. Next week, November 15-19, numbers will be distributed for the students’ backpacks, along with the four large placards with the numbers for the cars. Students will be dismissed by number instead of by name. PLEASE PURCHASE A LUGGAGE TAG TO ATTACH TO YOUR CHILD’S BACKPACK SO THAT YOU MAY PLACE THE ASSIGNED NUMBER IN THE TAG ONCE YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE NUMBER. THIS TAG WITH THE ASSIGNED NUMBER MUST BE IN PLACE WHEN THE STUDENT RETURNS TO SCHOOL ON NOVEMBER 29.

Parents and students are asked not to share their numbers with anyone but the designated drivers on the pick-up list. The first four placards will be provided for you. If placards are lost or need to be replaced, additional placards may be ordered through the office. Additional placards require a fee. If anyone other than the four regular persons designated to pick up your children needs to pick up your children on a given day, you will send a note, dated and signed, as usual, to inform the school who will be picking up your children. You are to give the number to that person for that day.

Drivers are to remain in their cars for pick-up unless a young child needs assistance. Do not park your car anywhere during the dismissal period.

Upon arrival at the entrance to the upper parking lot, the driver will hold up the family’s number for the teacher on duty at that location. The teacher will call that number for all members of that family to be dismissed. The driver will be directed by another staff member to pull up to the front door at Parking Area Number 1, 2, or 3 to wait for the student to arrive at the car. Then the driver will exit the parking lot from the right of the building as indicated by a staff member.

You are urged not to park your car.

If, for some reason, all students have not arrived at the car, the staff member at Parking Area Number 1 will direct the driver to wait at one of the parking spots at the three crosses at the right of the parking lot.

To avoid congestion, please do not arrive until 3:15 p.m., if your child is in Kindergarten or 3:30 p.m. for all other students. If you have a Kindergarten child with older siblings in school, please wait to pick up all at 3:30 p.m.

Pick up for extended care and the 2:30 pre-school dismissal will remain the same as it has always been. Pre-school students picked up after 3:20 p.m. will be taken upstairs for the drive through dismissal.

If a student needs to be dismissed early, please try to have the driver pick him/her up by 3:00 p.m., if possible. If you need to come to the office or to see a teacher, please come before 3:00 p.m., or make an appointment, or leave the school grounds completely with your children and return after dismissal in order to park.

This is a trial period between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We may experience some congestion or glitches at first. Please bear with us and inform us of problems or suggestions so we can make any changes necessary. We feel that, in the long run, this method will be safer and more efficient than our present method. Thank you for your assistance as we make these changes.

Cardinal Photographics will be here on Friday, November 19th to take pictures of any students who were absent when pictures were taken. Also, they will be taking pictures of our volleyball team members.
