ELEMENTARY NOVEMBER CHAPEL SCHEDULE:

Monday, Nov. 29 (No jeans or capris)

Monday, Dec.6 – Dress as or wear a t-shirt with your favorite Peanuts character. This will be a special elementary Christmas chapel.

Monday, Dec.13 – 9:00 a.m. – CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

SECONDARY CHAPEL is scheduled for Thursday, December 2nd. Our secondary students will have the privilege of attending a showing of “The Nutcracker” in Beckley beginning at 9:30 a.m. Field Trip forms will be sent home on Monday, November 29th. The cost to attend is $4.00.

Then, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., they will be at the Crossroads Mall ringing the bell for the Salvation Army.

NOON DISMISSAL – NOVEMBER 19 – COOKIE DOUGH DISTRIBUTION – There will be no afternoon extended care. Please be prepared to pick up your child and the cookie that was ordered by noon. We have no freezer space to store the cookie dough. If your child will not be in school that day, please make arrangements to have your order picked up by someone else.

SCHOOL CALENDAR CHANGE CONCERNING THANKSGIVING BREAK: There will be no school in the building the week of November 22-26. On Monday, November 22nd and Tuesday, November 23rd, students will have remote learning with packets sent home by Friday, November 19th. The completed packets must be returned to the teacher when school resumes on Monday, November 29th. The remaining part of the week, November 24-26 will be considered the Thanksgiving Break as per the calendar.

CARDINAL PHOTOGRAPHICS – FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH – They will take pictures of any students who were absent when the pictures were first taken. Also, they will take pictures of our volleyball team members.

PROGRESS REPORTS DISTRIBUTED ON DECEMBER 1, 2021

THE CHRISTMAS STORE IS COMING TO MOUNTAIN VIEW!! Students in K-3 through 12, will be able to shop for Christmas gifts to give to all members of their family. The store will operate on December 6-10. Send a list with your child as to who they will be shopping for, and someone will help them with picking out their gifts. All items are $2.00 each.

BASKETBALL GAMES FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 29 – DECEMBER 3

Heritage Christian Academy/Home/Friday, Dec. 3rd/Varsity/6 p.m.

I Corinthians 10:13 exhorts us to do all we do for the glory of God. Mountain View Christian School is so blessed to have faculty and staff who certainly follow that concept. Many sacrifices are made by our teachers to fulfill a call they believe is from God. With joy and thanksgiving for each child, they labor diligently each day to express the love of God and to make an imprint that will never fade in the lives of your sons and daughters. Please pray daily for God’s provision and anointing on their lives.
