NOON DISMISSAL – FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2018 – COOKIE DOUGH DISTRIBUTION DAY – NO AFTERNOON EXTENDED CARE WILL BE AVAILABLE

TAKE-OUT MEALS AVAILABLE ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH – Chili, crackers, cheese toast, and dessert – $5.00 per meal – No pre-ordering necessary. The dinners will be served beginning at 3:30 p.m. Follow the signs toward the outside Fellowship Hall Door (near the playground) to pick up and pay for your meals.

VETERAN’S DAY CHAPEL – WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH AT 2:00 P.M.

NO SCHOOL – MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH – VETERAN’S DAY

PIE SALE – The National Honor Society is sponsoring a Pie Sale during each student’s lunch time on Wednesday, November 7th for $2.oo per slice. Your child should have already received the order form and returned it along with the amount due.

THANKSGIVING BREAK – We will have school a full day on Monday, November 19th and a noon dismissal on Tuesday, November 20th. Our Thanksgiving break will begin on Wednesday, November 21st. School will resume on Monday, November 26th.

READ TO ME DAY – NOVEMBER 15TH – An Appalachian Power employee will be reading to our K-5 through third grade students. The employee will be reading and donating the book Astronaut Annie by Suzanne Slade. The story features a young girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut. Her family’s support encourages her to reach for the stars as she prepares for her school’s Career Day.

THANKSGIVING CHAPEL – FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH AT 9:00 A.M.

VETERAN’S OUTREACH SPONSORED BY THE MVCS BIBLE CLUB:  The Bible Club would like to thank all the brave men and women who have served in the United States Military and their families.  To show their appreciation, they will be collecting items needed for the VA Hospital in Beckley.

The items needed are as follows: (All these items can be found at your local dollar store.)

Miscellaneous: Football themed items, lap blankets, neck pillows, stuffed animals, figurines, simple craft projects, large print puzzle books, adult coloring books, colored pencils and crayons

Clothing for men and women: Toboggans, gloves, socks

Toiletries: Shampoo and Conditioner, Body wash and soap, lotions, Deodorant (Not Antiperspirant)

These items will be collected at our Veteran’s Day Chapel service on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
