THE CHRISTMAS STORE IS COMING TO MOUNTAIN VIEW!

Students in K-3 through grade 12 will be able to shop for Christmas gifts to give to all members of their family (even pets!). There has been a change in the date of the store since last week’s newsletter.  The store will be available on Tuesday, December 4th and Wednesday, December 5th.  All items will be priced at $2.

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MR. SCOTT TOLMAN AND MRS. TAMMY CALVERT FOR THE WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON ON NOVEMBER 16TH. The food was delicious and enjoyed by our entire faculty, staff, and students!

NOTE FROM THE OFFICE:  Tuition and any past due balances must be in the office by December 14th. NO EXCEPTIONS.  It is very important that your account is up-to-date before the Christmas break so we can close out the books for the end of the year.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Calvert.

ELEMENTARY CHRISTMAS PROGRAM – MONDAY, DECEMBER 10 – There will be two performances–9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.  You will not want to miss this wonderful performance!

CLOTHING TO BE WORN FOR THE ELEMENTARY CHRISTMAS PROGRAM – Students are to wear black or blue jeans.  If girls want to wear a  jean skirt, they may do that.    Tops–(Options) A Red MVCS T-Shirt, a Red MVCS Polo, a plain Red Polo, a Red top that is plain or a Red Shirt that is Christmassy. Mrs. Calloway does not suggest long sleeves due to the lighting on the stage that makes it very warm.

SPECIAL OFFERING – At the conclusion of the morning and evening elementary Christmas program on December 10th, a special offering will be taken for our faculty and staff Christmas bonuses.  Please be prepared to help us in this area.  The faculty and staff at Mountain View work diligently during the year to prepare your children academically and spiritually. Please help us to let them know how much they are appreciated at this most wonderful time of the year.

MVCS CHOIR CHRISTMAS CONCERT:  WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 12TH – 2:30 P.M.

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS INFORMATION:  On Monday, December 3rd, our 12 Days of Christmas Project is “Wise Men Bearing Gifts.”  Bring canned or boxed food.  We would like for individual classes to bring the designated items as follows:

Pre-School through 2nd Grade – Soup

3rd through 5th Grade – Peanut Butter

6th through 8th Grade – Cereal

9th through 12th Grade – Spaghetti Sauce

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7TH FROM 7:30 – 8:30 A.M.

REMINDER CONCERNING OUR WEATHER AND/OR UNFORESEEN EMERGENCIES: Please be sure to check the TV and radio stations concerning any closing or delays for MVCS.  There may be times we will not follow Fayette County closings or delays.

DRESS CODE – Just a reminder concerning the Dress Code. Make sure that the pants your child is wearing are not tight-fitting.  Also, no T-shirts are to be worn alone except on Fridays.

PICTURE MAKE-UP DAY – If your child had make-up pictures done and you want to order any of them, they must be returned to school by Monday, December 3rd.
