VETERAN’S DAY CHAPEL: WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH AT 2:40 P.M. Our students will be observing a Flag Retirement Ceremony during this chapel service. There will be prayer, honoring of God and country, and the proper disposal of the American flag.
NO AFTERNOON EXTENDED CARE AVAILABLE AND NO CHEERLEADING PRACTICE ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH DUE TO A MANDATORY FACULTY AND STAFF MEETING. THERE WILL ALSO BE NO CHEERLEADING ON THIS DAY. Please make arrangements to have your child/children picked up by 3:30 on this day.
NO SCHOOL – THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2021 IN OBSERVANCE OF VETERAN’S DAY
NOON DISMISSAL NOVEMBER 19, 2021. COOKIE DOUGH DISTRIBUTION. There will be no afternoon extended care. Please be prepared to pick up your child and the cookie dough that you ordered by noon. We have no extra freezer space to store the cookie dough. If your child will not be in school on that day, please make arrangements to have your order picked up by someone else.
SCHOOL CALENDAR CHANGE CONCERNING THANKSGIVING BREAK: There will be no school in the building the week of November 22-26. On Monday, November 22nd and Tuesday, November 23rd, students will have remote learning with packets sent home by Friday, November 19th. The completed packets must be returned to the teacher when school resumes on Monday, November 29th. The remaining part of the week, November 24-26 will be considered the Thanksgiving Break as per the calendar.
WEATHER AND UNFORESEEN EMERGENCY REMINDER: In case of inclement weather and/or unforeseen emergencies, you would receive a text message from our communication system. You could also listen to the radio and/or TV stations listed below to receive information. If there would be a problem concerning only Mountain View Christian School (such as water problems, no heat, etc.) you will receive a text message from the school.
PRE-SCHOOL 2 HOUR DELAY REMINDER: If Mountain View has a 2-hour delay, the three year olds, who are 1/2 day students, will have class from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. instead of the regular 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. schedule. Full day K-4 students will have class beginning at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m. as usual.
FRUIT SALE! JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS! Today, November 5th, you will be receiving an order form and more information concerning the fruit that we sold for the first time last year. The fruit was delicious, and many people used them for gifts, fruit baskets, etc. The fruit orders will be delivered the week of December 12th. We will give you an exact date as the time gets closer. REMINDER: WE MUST HAVE 150 ORDERS SO THAT THE COMPANY WILL SHIP THE FRUIT TO US. If by chance, we do not get that many orders, we will refund the money that was collected. ANYONE WHO SELLS 10 ITEMS WILL HAVE THEIR NAME PUT IN A DRAWING FOR PRIZES.
THANKSGIVING MEAL AT MVCS: The MVCS Secondary Bible Classes, along with the secondary teachers, will be preparing a Thanksgiving meal for our students, teachers, and staff to enjoy. There will be NO CHARGE for the meal; however, we are asking each class member to bring the items listed below. All the items, except desserts, need to be brought to the school by Friday, November 12, The desserts should be brought by Wednesday, November 17.
The clubs will be purchasing the turkeys, but if you would like to help them by sending a monetary donation to purchase a turkey, it would be greatly appreciated.
If your child has allergies and cannot eat the Thanksgiving meal and/or doesn’t want this meal, please text Mrs. Ball at 304 640-2335.

CHEER NEWS FOR 3RD – 12TH GRADES: Cheer practice is Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4:30 p.m. Pick-up is at the front school entrance.
