REMINDER CONCERNING MORNING EXTENDED CARE: Morning extended care hours are from 7:30 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. If your child enters the lower level doors before 8:00 a.m., they will be charged extended care fees. From 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. all students, except preschool, must enter the front door for their temperature check before going to class.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR STUDENTS WHO EXCELLED ON THE STANDARDIZED TERRA NOVA TEST LAST SPRING, 2021! We are proud of all the students for doing so well, especially in the middle of remote learning during the pandemic.

We wish to reward those students who returned this school year and who had the highest overall score for their grade level.

The elementary student with the highest overall score and the secondary student with the highest overall score have received a $50.00 check from the school, presented to them by our Headmaster, Pastor Bill Harman. These awards are provided by National Honor Society, Student Council, and Prom Committee.

The student who obtained the highest score of the elementary students is Kaiden Watson. The student who obtained the highest score in secondary students is Shanna Murphy.

ANNUAL COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER: The cookie dough order forms, the popcorn order form, and the coffee order form were sent home Friday, October 8th. All of the items will be the same price. There will be some great prizes available this year. We are excited to be able to offer our friends and family these delicious items.

FALL FESTIVAL FUN DAY! This will be a day of Fall Festival Fun for all on October 29th. Due to COVID restrictions, this will not be our tradition Fall Festival. There will be no visitors allowed. However, we are making it as close as we can due to the circumstances. There will be special fall activities, a fall art contest, a movie, dressing up, and much more at no charge.

Each class, preschool through 6th grade, will have a specific time they will be able to participate.

We are asking that each student bring a bag of individually wrapped candy so we can make treat bags for each child. All candy must be brought to the school by October 25th.

Be sure to send in the attached form, along with your $5 admission if you want your child to participate in the club-sponsored activities also, by October 12th. Attached is more detailed information.

VOLLEYBALL GAMES FOR THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 4-8:

Pipestem – Home, Monday, October 4th 5 p.m.

St. Francis – Home, Thursday, October 7th 5:00 p.m.

Greater Beckley – Away, Friday, October 8th 5:30 p.m.

FALL FESTIVAL FUN DAY!!! OCTOBER 29TH – PRESCHOOL THROUGH 6TH GRADES DURING SCHOOL

Students can dress up as a Bible character, an animal, or what they want to be when they grow up.

We will be watching a movie, doing a fall art contest project, and doing special fall activities during the day.

ART CONTEST – The children will make a special fall art picture. Art materials will be provided. There will be one winner from each class for the best picture and a prize will be awarded.

Our secondary clubs are also offering special fall fun activities. A detailed memo is attached.
