“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,

that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

GRANDPARENT’S DAY CHAPEL: Where would we be without our grandparents: A grandparent strengthens you with a prayer, blesses you with love, and encourages you with hope. Grandparents are a perfect blend of love, laughter, and happy memories. In order for us to show appreciation and honor to our grandparents, Mountain View will be hosting a Grandparent’s Day Chapel. This will be a combined chapel for Kindergarten through 12th grades on Friday, September 9th at 2:15 p.m.

Grandparents are invited to join us and sit with their grandchildren.

PRESCHOOL GRANDPARENT’S DAY BREAKFAST: All Preschoolers’ grandparents are invited to visit us for a continental style breakfast on Friday, September 9th at 9:30 a.m. in the Lunchroom, across the hall from the K-3 and K-4 classrooms. This is our way of showing our appreciation and honoring the grandparents who play such an important role in the lives of the children.

Please return the invitation that was sent home today by Wednesday, September 7th so we can know how many grandparents to plan for.

DISMISSAL: Thank you so much for helping us with dismissal by having your placards available so we can get the students dismissed in a timely manner. This week, during dismissal, we have been calling names and numbers. Please help us by making sure your child knows his/her number by next week, because we will be calling numbers only beginning next week.

Also, we appreciate the parents who have younger children to buckle in a car seat moving over toward the crosses to park and buckle them in so as not to hold up traffic. This has been a tremendous help.

EXTENDED CARE CHARGES: The first statement for extended care charges will be sent home the first few days of September. This will reflect the time your child spent in extended care for the month of August. These charges will be due on September 10.

PIZZA LUNCH IS BACK FOR SEPTEMBER! You can purchase pizza lunches for your child to be served on Thursdays for the month of September. You should have already received the order form. The money must be returned by Tuesday, September 6. Please note that money for the pizza lunches cannot be refunded or credited in the event of an absence, because the food is purchased and ordered in advance.

LOADS OF LOVE: Anytime this school year that we have a combined chapel with elementary and secondary together, we will be providing the Church of God New River Ranch Children’s Home with laundry supplies. Thank you in advance for any help you can give. It will be greatly appreciated.

Laundry baskets will be in the sanctuary for students to place their supplies. Some examples are as follows: Laundry Detergent, Fabric Softener, Dryer Sheets, Laundry Booster, Stain Remover

WVU DAY WINNERS: Each class was asked to decorate their classroom and/or hallways in the secondary classes for WVU Day in honor of the opening day of WVU football and the re-institution of the WVU vs. Pitt game. They all did a great job! The winning class in secondary (7th-12th grades) was Mrs. Adkins and Mrs. Ball’s hallway. The winning class in elementary (Preschool – 6th grades) was Preschool. Congratulations to these students! They will receive no homework for one day and free ice cream.
