MVCS HANDBOOKS: This would be a great time for you to review the MVCS Handbook. It would help you to be aware of our policies and refresh your memory concerning school information. If you are a new parent to our school this year and did not receive a Handbook, please contact Mrs. Calvert in the school office.
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please remember that any time your child is absent, comes to school tardy, and/or leaves early; when they return to school, they must bring a note stating the reason they were absent, tardy, or dismissed early. The notes can be from a parent and/or guardian, and must be dated and signed that we can place in your child’s file. If they had a doctor’s appointment, etc., you can get an excuse from the doctor.
Remember that 5 unexcused tardies and/or 5 unexcused early dismissals equals one unexcused absence. Your child (PK-6th grades) can bring the note to Mrs. Calvert in the office. If your child is in grades 7-12, the notes can be given to Mrs. Elder in her office downstairs. Thank you for your attention to these important matters.
IMPORTANT DISMISSAL INFORMATION: In order to keep the parking lot accessible to visitors or first responders, we are asking anyone that is coming to pick up their child in the afternoon, please do not arrive on the lot until 3:15 p.m. This ensures the entrance to the school is blocked as little as possible.
EXTENDED CARE : The first statement will be sent home the first few days of September. This will reflect the time your child spent in extended care for the month of August. These charges will be due on September 10th.
REMINDER: If you have a new phone number since last school year, please contact us with your new number. You may be missing important messages from the communication system.
