EASTER BREAK – APRIL 3RD – 6TH – SCHOOL RESUMES APRIL 7, 2026

ELEMENTARY CHAPEL – WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, 2026 AT 9:00 A.M. Kindergarten Class will lead with prayers and memorization. Reminder: No jeans, t-shirts, or shorts are to be worn on chapel days.

RE-ENROLLMENT BEGAN LAST FRIDAY, MARCH 27, 2026. You should have received your child’s application.

HOPE SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS – Completed packet with enrollment fee of $150.00 is to be returned to MVCS by Friday, April 10, 2026. After that date, new student enrollment begins, and some classes may be filled.

STUDENTS NOT APPLYING FOR HOPE SCHOLARSHIP will be required to pay the $150.00 re-enrollment fee and the book fees at time of enrollment.

The application will also include a booklist for your child’s upcoming grade if they are going into Preschool through 8th grades. Booklists for students in grades 9-12 will be available at a later date.

Booklists are to be returned to the school office by May 1, 2026 in order for us to make sure the books are ordered.

If you are interested in used books for the coming year, please call the school to speak to Mrs. Calvert as soon as possible. You must be enrolled for the coming year before being placed on the used book list.

HOPE SCHOLARSHIP – Please be reminded that June 15, 2026, is the last day to submit a renewal application for the 2026-2027 school term and the last day to submit a new application for 100% funding for 2026-2027. IF YOU WERE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THE HOPE SCHOLARSHIP LAST YEAR, THIS YEAR ALL STUDENTS FROM K-5 THROUGH GRADE 12 ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY. The Hope Scholarship is not income based. CARDINAL PHOTOGRAPHICS – SPRING PICTURES – APRIL 10, 2026 – They will be taking spring pictures, sports pictures, and club pictures. You do not need to prepay for portrait packages. You will receive a proof in the coming weeks from which to order. You will receive an envelope this week in which to order sports pictures.

SPRING CONVOCATION WAS A GREAT SUCCESS! What a blessing our Spring Convocation was to everyone who attended! The elementary and secondary students were ministered to each day by Mrs. Pennington and Mr. Calloway in a mighty way! How wonderful it is to be part of a school where we can give worship and honor to the Lord each and every day!

ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY – Instead of the elementary classes having individual field trips this year, we will be having an Elementary Field Day at school on May 8th. We will be having a picnic style lunch. serving hot dogs, and having a variety of activities. The Aurora Ice Truck will be here for a special treat!

We are asking each student in Preschool through grade six to send a new white t-shirt to school by Friday, April 10th to tye dye and decorate at school. These will be worn on our Elementary Field Day.

ELEMENTARY TERRA NOVA MOVIE NEWS! Elementary Terra Nova tests will be given April 13-17. On Friday, April 17th, all students in grades 1-6 who are here every day that week and complete the tests will be able to be rewarded with a move and popcorn at school. The make-up day for tests will be Friday, April 17th. If any tests were missed, they would need to be made up while the movie is playing.

YARD SIGNS – We have several yard signs available advertising Mountain View Christian School. If you would be willing to place one in your yard to advertise the school, call the office and let Mrs. Calvert know.

ATHLETIC NEWS – All uniforms must be returned by Tuesday, April 7, 2026 so they can be ready for pictures on Friday.

ATHLETIC BANQUET – Thursday, April 23rd at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. More information to follow.
