ELEMENTARY CHAPEL – MONDAY,OCTOBER 30TH – 9 A.M. – First Grade will be leading the chapel with prayers and memorization. Mrs. Heidemann will be the speaker. Reminder: No jeans, t-shirts, or shorts on chapel days.

JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS – FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD – You will be receiving an order form and information concerning our fruit fundraiser! There will be great prizes for the top 2 students who sell the most boxes of fruit over 20. This will be a wonderful opportunity for you to have fruit for fruit baskets, gifts, etc., for Christmas. We must have 150 orders of the fruit in order to place the order. People who have bought the fruit the last few years have been very pleased.

VETERAN’S DAY CHAPEL – There will be a special combined Chapel on Wednesday, November 8th, at 9 a.m. This will be an outside ceremony. Parents and family members are invited to attend. Informational forms will be sent home next week with the students for family members that were or are Veterans. This information will be attached to flags that will be placed on the front lawn of the school during the ceremony.

NO SCHOOL FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2023, IN OBSERVANCE OF VETERAN’S DAY

FALL FESTIVAL 2023 – Much appreciation to parents, teachers, friends, family, and staff for making this year’s event such a success. The donations of crafts, baked goods, food, monetary contributions, etc., from parents, grandparents, and area businesses were a great blessing.

SPECIAL THANKS TO MRS. PENNINGTON FOR ACTING AS CHAIRPERSON FOR THE FESTIVAL. Her offering of time, effort, and talent was invaluable. Also, thanks to the teachers who sponsor clubs and organizations within the school. Our secondary students did a wonderful job in helping with the festival from beginning to end!

PUMPKIN KING AND QUEEN ANNOUNCED:

The following students were crowned Pumpkin King and Queen for selling the most paper pumpkins. The proceeds go to the Junior Honor Club. PUMPKIN KING – JEREMIAH GILKERSON – GRADE 4 AND PUMPKIN QUEEN RAELYNN MANN – KINDERGARTEN.

THE KINDERGARTEN CLASS RECEIVED THE PIZZA LUNCH FOR SELLING THE MOST PAPER PUMPKINS.

COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER WINNERS: The Cookie Dough Fundraiser was a great success! We sold $15,150.00 worth of cookie dough, popcorn, and coffee. Thank you for all your support.

We want to thank Mrs. Tammy Calvert for being the chairperson for this fundraiser. She did a great job!

THE TOP SELLER FOR COOKIE DOUGH WAS BLAIRE RIFFE IN KINDERGARTEN WITH 62 ITEMS SOLD. BLAIRE CHOSE A MOTORIZED SCOOTER FOR HER PRIZE.

THE SECOND HIGHEST SELLER WAS ALEXANDER COMPTON (GRADE 2) WITH 57 ITEMS SOLD. ALEXANDER CHOSE THE $200 CASH PRIZE.

THE CLASS SELLING THE MOST COOKIE DOUGH WAS PRESCHOOL. THE PRESCHOOL CLASS, ALONG WITH THEIR SECONDARY “BUDDIES” WILL BE TAKING A TRIP TO PIN HEADS BOWLING ALLEY AND HAVE A PIZZA LUNCH WITH DRINK PROVIDED ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD. THEY WILL ALSO RECEIVE ONE HOUR FREE TIME IN THE GYM.

OUR SECONDARY STUDENTS (7-12) SOLD OVER $3,000 WORTH OF ITEMS! THEY WILL GET A SPECIAL TREAT AS A GROUP. THANK YOU, SECONDARY STUDENTS, FOR ALL YOUR HELP!

THE COOKIE DOUGH ITEMS WILL BE TENTATIVELY DISTRIBUTED AT SCHOOL ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH AROUND NOON. WE WILL MAKE YOU MORE AWARE OF DETAILS SOON.

PLEASE BE PREPARED TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD AND THE COOKIE DOUGH ORDERED ON THIS DAY. WE HAVE NO EXTRA FREEZER SPACE TO STORE COOKIE DOUGH. IF YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE IN SCHOOL ON THAT DAY, PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE YOUR ORDER PICKED UP BY SOMEONE ELSE.
