NO SCHOOL – MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST – LABOR DAY

THANK YOU for your cooperation concerning our safety issue of not entering the parking lot until 3:15 p.m.

GRANDPARENTS DAY CHAPEL – Chapel for next week will be combined for preschool through twelfth grades. Chapel will be on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 9 a.m. In order to us to show appreciation and honor our grandparents, Mountain View will be hosting a Grandparent’s Day Chapel. Grandparents are invited to come and sit with their grandchildren for this special service.

PRESCHOOL GRANDPARENT’S DAY BREAKFAST – All preschoolers’ grandparents are invited to visit us at 10 a.m. or immediately following Chapel in the preschool area for a continental style breakfast. The preschool students will be participating in a small program during this time.

EXTENDED CARE CHARGES: The first statement for extended care charges will be sent home in the first few days of September. This will reflect the time your child spend in extended care for the month of August. These charges are due September 10th.

MOUNTAIN VIEW T-SHIRT ORDER FORMS are due back in by September 2nd. The cost for a t-shirt if $12. and $23 for a sweatshirt.

AN AUTOGRAPHED BOOK OPPORTUNITY – One of our kindergarten parents, Tracy Kincaid, is an author and illustrator. She has offered to sell her book A Seek and Find Book of Symbols of the Fruit of the Spirit to the parents of the school for $10.00, and she will give a percentage of the sales to the school. If you would like to purchase or view the book, please call the school or see Mrs. Calvert in the office. Mrs. Kincaid will write your child’s name in the front of the book and autograph it.

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Please remember that any time your child is absent, comes to school tardy, and/or leaves early, they must bring a note when they return to school stating the reason. The notes can be from a parent/guardian, and must be dated and signed for your child’s file. If they have a doctor’s appointment, etc., you can get an excuse from doctor for child’s file.

Remember that 5 unexcused tardies and/or 5 unexcused early dismissals equal one unexcused absence. Your child (PK-6th grades) can bring the note to Mrs. Calvert in the office. If your child is in grades 7-12, notes are to be given to Mrs. Elder in her office downstairs. Thank you for your attention to these matters.

We would love for our MVCS students and families to try to make a special effort to be at our home games as much as possible. Our athletes work hard, and we want them to know that MVCS supports them. Come out and help us to cheer our teams on to victory.

CONGRATULATIONS TO LORIE MCKINNEY, A FRESHMAN AT MVCS, FOR PLACING 3RD IN THE GIRLS’ GOLF TOURNAMENT AT PIPESTEM!

THANK YOU FROM MVCS – While keeping you informed of our upcoming events and announcements, we also want to express our appreciation for all your support and prayers for MVCS. We are blessed to be in this beautiful mountain setting where our students can learn in an environment where the Spirit of the Lord is welcome. We believe this makes all the difference in the education of these children. They are in a place where they can be taught and, at the same time, be happy and enjoy their school experience. This has been our goal from the beginning. Thank you for allowing us to help in educating your children and for working with us.
