ELEMENTARY CHAPEL – Elementary chapel for next week will be on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 9 a.m. Mrs. Heidemann will be the speaker, and second grade will be leading the service with prayers and memorization. Reminder: No jeans, t-shirts, or shorts are to be worn on chapel days.

SPRING FLOWER FUNDRAISER: Our spring fundraiser is quickly coming to a close. We hope you have done well with this fundraiser. The flowers and vegetables were beautiful last year and hardy enough that most of them lasted through fall. Your order form, along with amount due, is due by Monday, March 11th.

HOPE SCHOLARSHIP REMINDER – Please be reminded that June 15, 2024, is the last day to submit a renewal application for the 2024-2025 term and the last day to submit a new application for 100 percent scholarship funding for 2024-2025. For more information visit the website at hopescholarshipwv.com.

MOUNTAIN VIEW STUDENT CHOSEN AS A MEMBER OF THE ALL STATE ORCHESTRA!

Mountain View Christian School seventh grader, Kendall Bloomfield, was honored to be chosen as a member of the All State Orchestra. Kendall was fourth chair viola. The orchestra, made up of students throughout West Virginia, performed their concert at the Municipal Auditorium in Charleston on Friday, March 1, 2024. Congratulations Kendall! We are very proud of you!

SECONDARY (7TH – 12TH GRADES) SPRING CONVOCATION

MARCH 25TH – 28TH

THEME – “ACTS OF RANDOM KINDNESS”

Monday, March 25th at 2:00 p.m. – “We Dream of Kindness”

Dress Attire: Students can wear pajamas on this day.

Donation for the Day: Students can bring canned food.

The students will view a video by Ken Ham titled, “Ken Ham reveals Hidden Secrets of the Ark Encounter”

Tuesday, March 26th at 2:00 p.m. – “Don’t Camouflage Kindness”

Dress Attire: Students can wear camouflage or animal prints on this day.

Donation for the Day: Pet supplies for animal shelters

Speaker: Mrs. Bret Shrewsberry – She will be speaking on “Dogs and Devotions”

Wednesday, March 27th at 2:00 p.m. – “Let Your Kindness Shine”

Dress Attire: Students can wear neon colors, bright colors, sparkles, sequins, etc.

Donation for the Day: Shampoo and Body Wash for the nursing home

The High School will be doing community work by helping at the Food Pantry.

The Middle School will be doing Campus Community work.

Thursday, March 28th at 9:00 a.m.

Speaker – Pastor Taylor – This will be a combined chapel with Elementary and Secondary students.

HERITAGE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: Our Middle School team placed 2nd in this tournament. Congratulations to our team! Team members are: Kash Craddock, Wyatt Dorsey, Bella Taylor, Marshall Faherty, Eli Faherty, Jeremiah Gilkerson, Mark Lawhorn

Also, our Bella Taylor in 7th grade and Eli Faherty in 5th grade were honored with being chosen as “All Tournament Players.” Congratulations Bella and Eli! We are so very proud of all our players. We played our last game of the season on Monday, March 4th. Thank you all for a great season!
