ELEMENTARY CHAPEL – WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 17TH AT 9:00 A.M. The fourth grade class will lead the service with prayers and memorization. Ms. Rader will be the speaker. REMINDER: No jeans, T-shirts or shorts are to be worn on chapel days.
REPORT CARDS DISTRIBUTED – JANUARY 16, 2024
EXCESSIVE EARLY DISMISSALS: We have had several students being dismissed early. We understand that doctor’s appointments, etc., are sometimes made in the afternoon and that is totally acceptable. If your child needs to leave before the end of the school day dismissal, please send a note with him/her to school the next day so that it can be placed in the student’s file and noted as to the reason for early dismissal. An excerpt of the school policy for early dismissals can be seen below. It is on page 16 in the Student Handbook.
C. EXCESSIVE ABSENCES
For every 5 unexcused tardies, the student will be counted absent for that secondary class in which he/she is tardy (or for the school day for elementary students). For every 5 early dismissals from school, the elementary student will be counted absent for the day. The secondary student will be counted absent for each class he/she misses each day and for every 5 classes he/she signs out of the class before the class ends.
REMINDER: If your child is absent, please send a note with them the day they return to school as to the reason for absence. If you call the school to let the office know the student won’t be there, that is fine, but a note and/or doctor’s excuse is still needed.
RESCHEDULED DATE FOR MATH FIELD DAY: The date for Math Field Day for grades 4-9 has been rescheduled for our students who were participating, to Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the same time and place.
