ELEMENTARY CHAPEL: MONDAY, JANUARY 29TH – 9 A.M. – The second grade class will be leading the service with prayers and memorization. Reminder: No jeans, T-shirts, or shorts are to be worn on Chapel Days.

SECONDARY CHAPEL: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31ST – 2 P.M. – The Middle School students will be charge of the Chapel this week. Parents are welcome!

CARNATION SALE – Student Council will be selling red carnations with or without stuffed animals for Valentine’s Day, with personal messages included. Please return the order form you received earlier, along with payment, no later than Monday, January 29th. The carnations will be delivered on February 14th.

VALENTINE’S FOR SHUT-INS: The Secondary students (7th-12th) will be making valentines for the nursing home and shut-ins. If you know anyone that is a shut-in and would like us to make them a card, please text Mrs. Ball at 304-640-2335.

TUITION REMINDER: Please be reminded that tuition is due the 10th of each month. Failure to pay after tuition is one month past due will result in the student not being allowed to attend class until the account is brought up-to-date. If your tuition is past due, please contact Mrs. Calvert in the office immediately. Thank you for your attention concerning this important matter.

ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT: In honor of the hard work of our athletic department, each basketball team member and each cheerleader who participates in the games or cheerleading at Homecoming next Friday will receive a Homework Pass on the following Monday.

SPIRIT WEEK – JANUARY 29-FEBRUARY 2

Spirit Week is a week students are encouraged to dress up to show school spirit. Daily winners will be entered into a drawing for a gift card!

Each class, Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade will be making a poster. The class that wins the most votes for their patriotic poster will receive an ice cream party! Voting will take place on the MVCS Facebook page beginning January 29th and ending at 7 p.m. on February 1st.

MONDAY – Famous duo (or trio) Day! Mickey and Minnie, Barbie and Skipper, Batman and Robin! The possibilities are endless!

TUESDAY – Pajama Day! Robes, slippers, blankets, teddy bears! Try not to fall asleep during class!

WEDNESDAY – Elementary (Preschool – 6th grades) – Crazy Hair Day/Secondary (7th-12th) Anything but a Backpack Day

THURSDAY – Favorite Character Day – (book, movie, tv, etc.)

FRIDAY – Spirit Day! Support our school and basketball teams by dressing in school colors: Red, White, and Blue!
